MJ’s Biography

Mary Judy Nguyen aka “MJ,” President and Owner of MATRIX Performance Training: No Regrets! She’s taking fitness to the next level!

MJ’s parents immigrated to the US from Vietnam in 1975. She comes from a large family of 7, including 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is certified under the National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Personal Trainer www.nsca-cc.org; the most highly recognized fitness organization in the world.

In 2000, she earned her undergraduate degree from California State University, Chico www.csuchico.edu in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy and a Minor in Latin American Studies. Also, in 2005 MJ earned her Masters of Sports Science in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy www.ussa.edu.

With more than 10 years of personal training experience, her clients range from retired US Marines, current high school athletes, active working adults and youth ages 8 and older. Clients also include those with multiple medical conditions, physical disabilities, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports injuries; including re-conditioning sedentary clients that have little to no exercise in past years. She customizes every workout program to meet each individual clients desired fitness goals and makes fitness be a part their everyday lifestyle.

Passionate about fitness, she breathes, eats, sleeps and lives through her motto, Live It…Give It…Love It! You have to live the lifestyle you want, give it all you have, and love what you do!
