I have had the opportunity and pleasure of getting to now MJ and her extended knowledge in health and exercise. I have always been in shape a runner and an athlete. However after the birth of my fourth child I wanted to take my fitness to a new level. MJ’s boot camp class was the answer! I am leaner and stronger, I am in better shape than I have been in a very long time. Her conditioning and weight training program is the perfect mix, not only has my mile time increased but my tricep muscles look amazing. She has pushed me past my wall and she keeps raising the bar! I can’t wait to see where her inspiration will take me!

Thanks Coach (MJ) I haven’t exercised for 25 years and I started boot camp with MJ this January. I wanted to feel better and lose weight but this time I wanted to lose the weight the right way. My daughter is getting married this summer and I wanted to be a size 6 and look good for her wedding.When I started with MJ I couldn’t even do a sit up. In fact I don’t think I had done one since high school and now they are easy. MJ modified my workouts until I was able to get strong and do what I was able to do. She gave me alternative exercises so that I could keep up with everyone. If she hadn’t have spent special time working with me, I would have quit.It is so great. I am losing weight, feeling stronger, better and more energized. Now I am look forward to working out all the time. I love getting up in the morning. I look forward to seeing everyone. I should have done this a long time ago. I think now I am going to fit in a size 6 way sooner than I had hoped. I have already lost 9 pounds in the last 6 weeks. And yes I am glad my belly isn’t dragging down to the floor anymore and that I lost my double chin. Today I accomplish more, I sleep better, I wake up better and everything is just better. And I am eating better… a lot better. It is not just the exercise it is also the mental thing… Now I can do anything. Thanks MJ!

I purchased a 12 week personal training package with MJ and wanted to provide some feedback to you on how happy I was as her client. Since I have always worked out through cardio and yoga, my goal wasn’t to lose weight but to have someone help me tone up using weights. MJ was exactly what I needed! In the 6 weeks I trained with her, she never repeated the same exercise twice and has therefore given me many different exercises to do on my own. As a member of the CRC for over a year, I never used a weight in the gym, and now I do weights on my own for 45 minutes 3 days a week. I achieved amazing results with MJ’s help, specifically lost over 11 inches in just 6 weeks and really toned up all over. I could not have achieved those results without her help and I am continuing to see results by performing the exercises she taught me on my own.MJ is a real asset to the gym and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a motivating, sincere and just purely fantastic personal trainer.Sincerely,

I just thought you should know…. As I begin this new year I feel like one of the lucky ones. So many new people starting fitness programs and trying to get in shape as a new years resolution. I started working out in April ‘09 after surgery last December. I had put on weight after surviving cancer through eating ice cream and ready to start living again. I watched MJ train her clients from a distance knowing that when I was ready to get serious she is the one I would hire. I wasn’t ready until September, but when I was… I immediately thought of MJ and came in to buy 24 personal training sessions. She was up against tough expectations because 2 of my sisters and a brother in law are personal trainers.Well let me give you some stats… within 2 1/2 months I have lost 20 lbs, lost 27 inches and reduced my body fat from 42% to 29%. That ROCKS! I fit into all my clothes not just the fat ones. I feel better than I have felt in years. My back doesn’t hurt anymore and I am able to ski, hike, bike, run etc. effortlessly. The doctors told me I would never water-ski after cancer surgery… I will prove them wrong this year.On the other side…the things you can’t measure. I LOVE training with MJ. Her energy is contagious. I also LOVE boot camp. I LOVE the comadarie MJ creates. She adapts the training to all levels even the “Tres Amiga’s” we have grown to love. One of them actually ran her very 1st 5K run on Thanksgiving with all the boot camp girls. MJ inspires, challenges, pushes harder than anyone I know, supports and encourages. Her clients want to work harder for her than they will for anyone else. Believe it or not Boot camp is fun. Yes I said it… don’t tell MJ… she may make us do more spider crawls or something… but we love it. I look better, feel better and am stronger and healthier than maybe my entire adult life.I have lived in MH for 8 years and commuted to Gilroy to workout. I have grown to love the CRC and now have recruited a dozen people to join as well. It is nice to have such a family friendly atmosphere, but those of us that want results in our fitness program and some level of intensity need a MJ in our life. She is the cream of the crop in personal trainers.

When I started boot camp I had a baby that was going to be 5 months and little boy that was 2. I was so out of shape. Day 1 was challenging. The hardest part was deciding to go back to day 2! As time progressed so did I physically and emotionally. After one month I knew I had to reregister if I wanted to change. By month 2 I noticed the difference I was much stronger. I would go dancing with my husband and wasn’t tired. I didn’t feel sluggish during the day. At 5 AM I wasn’t taking any time away from my family. I felt better about what I was doing to myself. Myself was something I had ignored for 5 years. Sometimes with a husband and kids I would forget about who I was. This class was uplifting. There were days when I wanted to sleep passed 5 AM and when I did I felt horrible for not going to class. The class consisted of so many drills exercises that just keep you non stop for an hour. The hour at times felt forever. But the feeling I had knowing I did it was the best. It felt good getting into my car knowing what I had accomplished. I was pushed passed my limits. No was never an option. The work out I got in 1 hour is what I can’t do myself at the gym with 2 days of a workout. The workouts are intense, not easy but I progressed grew stronger and kept going.Today I am still amazed at what I am doing. I am still surprised I ran 6.5 miles this morning non stop, when I could barely run 2 laps 4 months ago.This is a challenge well worth taking if you want to change.

“I signed up for MJ’s boot camp back in January of 2010. I am a single mother who was working 60 hours a week in the Legal field for the past several years, and it has taken a toll on my health.  I was stressed out beyond belief, and didn’t realize just how out of shape (both mentally and physically) I was, until I accepted Mary’s challenge! After only 12 weeks into the program, I am feeling stronger, both mentally and physically, not to mention more confident!  I have a goal weight loss of 80 lbs, and I am down 32, so far.
